Takashi Miike, Nina Dobrev, Sir Patrick Stewart, Sharlto Copley<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The dust has settled on the 2015 edition of the Midnight Madness program at the Toronto International Film Festival. What a year it was! We saw Sir Patrick Stewart take the stage at the Ryerson Theater. Legendary Midnight Madness master Takashi Miike made his long awaited in-person return to the festival. Another amazing appearance of cinematographer Dean Cundey (<i>John Carpenter's Halloween; Jurassic Park</i>). Last but certainly not least were the ten films that were showcased every night at midnight. We laughed, we jumped, sometimes we were so overcome with suspense and fright that we covered our eyes and we rooted for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLmxiV7yHog">Lily</a> and her volunteer trip.<br />
<br />
Here is Robert A. Mitchell and Sarah Mitchell's video playlist of all the happenings, featuring all the red carpet interviews, Colin Geddes' introductions and the post-screening Q&As. You can relive the infamous <a href="http://uproxx.com/filmdrunk/2015/09/patrick-stewart-hug-woman-booed/">"hug"</a> moment during the <i>Green Room</i> premiere, watch the Frog Monster Kaeru-Kun from <i>Yakuza Apocalypse</i> take the stage over and over again. The end result is a near five hours of footage from Midnight Madness 2015! Enjoy! <br />

Last nights bittersweet closing night of Midnight Madness 2015 was the biggest party of the whole Festival. Special guests, a surprise encore screening of the crowd-pleasing <i>The Chickening</i>, and a packed Ryerson theatre made for one of the wildest screenings in the Midnight Madness 2015 lineup. Ian Goring was there to snap pics of all the action!</div>

<br />
Did you miss Takashi Miike's insane Yakuza Apocalypse at Midnight Madness--or maybe you NEED to see it again soon? (Maybe some kind of medical condition or curse? Though is it really a curse if you have to go see awesome movies?) Well, you're in luck Yakuza Apocalypse comes to theaters and video on demand on October 9th!<br />

It was very felicitous that the final 2015 Midnight Madness screening was the film <i><a href="http://tiff.net/festivals/festival15/midnightmadness/the-final-girls">The Final Girls</a></i>. Adding to the party atmosphere of the last film of another great program was the star presence of the cast in person. Robert A. Mitchell was on the red carpet and spoke with actresses <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0015196/?ref_=nv_sr_1">Malin Åkerman</a>, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3920288/?ref_=nv_sr_1">Taissa Farmiga</a> and director <a href="http://tiffmidnightmadness.blogspot.com/2015/09/the-final-girls-interview-with-director.html">Todd Strauss-Schulson</a> who also brought the energy!<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Even Final Girls need to get outside and enjoy the sunshine sometimes.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<i>The Final Girls</i> is a film about... what else? The hallowed halls of heroines in horror movies (how's that for alliteration?) have many portraits hung on their walls. Here are a few fave Final Girls that you might not have yet considered, but who are still worthy women.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wTTg-bGEba4/Vf2kwcU3iqI/AAAAAAAAA2g/PPacexZY3wk/s1600/jessica.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wTTg-bGEba4/Vf2kwcU3iqI/AAAAAAAAA2g/PPacexZY3wk/s640/jessica.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Jessica, thinking about all of her cool headstone tracings and the fact that she drives an old hearse.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<b>Jessica from <i>Let's Scare Jessica To Death</i>, 1971</b><br />
One of the most heartbreaking horror films ever, this one features my favorite example of the "hysterical housewife" trope. Jessica just got out of a mental hospital, so when she starts seeing things, naturally no one believes her. But they should. Zohra Lampert is radiant as Jessica and should have been a huge star.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wvC6SgG7gtQ/Vf2lArhNacI/AAAAAAAAA2o/5mGcVkFFPR8/s1600/the-descent.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wvC6SgG7gtQ/Vf2lArhNacI/AAAAAAAAA2o/5mGcVkFFPR8/s640/the-descent.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Sarah is done with your crap. Do you hear me? DONE!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<b>Sarah from <i>The Descent</i>, 2005</b><br />
Sarah's transformation from wounded bird to wicked warrior is breathtaking in its scope and empowering in its righteousness. Regardless of which ending you prefer for this truly terrifying movie, there's no denying that Shauna Macdonald's performance is unforgettable.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ah9k1CLak_4/Vf2lLCpwnTI/AAAAAAAAA2w/nyuXs4VvRHA/s1600/youre-next.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ah9k1CLak_4/Vf2lLCpwnTI/AAAAAAAAA2w/nyuXs4VvRHA/s640/youre-next.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Erin takes a moment for herself. A well-deserved moment.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<b>Erin from <a href="http://tiffmidnightmadness.blogspot.ca/search/label/you're%20next" target="_blank"><i>You're Next</i></a>, 2011</b><br />
As Erin, Sharni Vinson is the ultimate modern final girl. She's got spunk, sass, and survival smarts. She destroys the secret plans of the bad guys in the movie and then destroys the other bad guys in the movie. Then she <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8kZDZ4eXXk" target="_blank">just shoots a man for snoring</a>. OK, she shoots him for being a huge jerkwad, but still. She's a badass.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-g5BblMWLDWQ/Vf2l_wD2u9I/AAAAAAAAA24/1OaJQWsxL_Q/s1600/ripley.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-g5BblMWLDWQ/Vf2l_wD2u9I/AAAAAAAAA24/1OaJQWsxL_Q/s640/ripley.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Ellen Ripley is done with your crap, too. And she's done with Carter Burke's crap, while we're on the subject.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<b>Ellen Ripley from the <i>Alien</i> franchise, starting in 1979</b><br />
Genre fans might bicker about whether the Aliens movies are sci fi, horror, action, or an unholy commingling of the three, but everyone can agree that Ellen Ripley is one of the greatest Final Girls around: she survives through three movies and a questionable scientific experiment to star in a fourth, plays basketball with Winona Ryder and saves Michael Biehn, an android, a little girl, and a cat along the way. Oh, and she also saves humanity. No biggie.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dk33uOvNcVc/Vf2mZQvUzdI/AAAAAAAAA3A/OgMkrPrfeeA/s1600/inside.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dk33uOvNcVc/Vf2mZQvUzdI/AAAAAAAAA3A/OgMkrPrfeeA/s640/inside.jpg" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">May the bridges I burn light the way.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<b>The Woman from <a href="http://tiffmidnightmadness.blogspot.ca/search/label/Inside" target="_blank"><i>À l'intérieur</i></a>, 2007</b> <br />
This might be a controversial pick, but this is the Midnight Madness blog! We eat controversy for breakfast (and sometimes a light snack between meals). Béatrice Dalle portrays The Woman as terrifyingly skilled yet unhinged and in a neat twist, she is both the killer AND the Final Girl of this film. Sure, she might be deadly and dangerous, but what's most frightening is how much you can relate to her plight. It's a masterful performance in a masterpiece of a movie. <br />

For me, and probably a lot of people in attendance on Day 9 of Midnight Madness 2015, this was my first time seeing 'The Master of Midnight' in person, and it was a thrilling and humbling experience. Ian Goring was also there to capture this history-making night of insanity!<br>

Today's your last chance to see The Mind's Eye at TIFF. If you don't see it now, how will you ever know if that man is really levitating that ax with his mind.<br />
<br />
Maybe he's catching an ax tossed by Thing With An Ax, who you might remember from Joe Begos' previous MM film, <i>Almost Human.</i><br />

And we couldn't ask for a more awesome actress to see us through!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eSB3lt7gRFI/VfymZl8JR2I/AAAAAAAAAMs/qpjmr1dgBpc/s1600/ShawkatGreenRoomPremiere.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eSB3lt7gRFI/VfymZl8JR2I/AAAAAAAAAMs/qpjmr1dgBpc/s400/ShawkatGreenRoomPremiere.jpg" width="295" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Shawkat is primarily recognized for her role as <a href="http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0029699/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_23" target="_blank">Maeby Fünke on the television show, <i>Arrested Development</i></a>, and other lighter fare. But in the past few years, Shawkat has begun to make a name for herself in indie films such as <i>Whip It</i> (which premiered at TIFF—right here at the Ryerson—in 2009), <i>Damsels in Distress</i> (2011), and <i>Ruby Sparks</i> (2012) and memorable TV appearances like her brilliant turn on <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4227570/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_10" target="_blank"><i>Broad City</i> in the episode "Coat Check"</a>. Her sharp wit and comedic presence make her a stand out even in smaller roles.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--RO21g9Tuww/Vfyma-mKxbI/AAAAAAAAAM8/qxLWo0_2EG8/s1600/ShawkatWhipIt.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--RO21g9Tuww/Vfyma-mKxbI/AAAAAAAAAM8/qxLWo0_2EG8/s640/ShawkatWhipIt.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
In <i>Green Room</i>, Shawkat takes on a new kind of character in this violent siege story. As a member of the punk band held hostage after a gig, Shawkat’s character, Sam, has to fight her way through the onslaught of terror. She is the only girl in the band and, <a href="http://tiffmidnightmadness.blogspot.ca/2015/09/green-room-video-premiere-interviews.html" target="_blank">as she relates to Robert Mitchell in her red carpet interview</a>, she got the part even though it was originally envisioned as another male band member. As the audience can attest, it is not hard to see why director <a href="http://tiffmidnightmadness.blogspot.ca/2015/09/interview-with-green-room-director.html" target="_blank">Jeremy Saulnier</a> decided Shawkat was perfect for the part!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gTrsztQkbkk/VfymX2yYZkI/AAAAAAAAAMo/Rb9Pmn3f1cY/s1600/ShawkatGreenRoom.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gTrsztQkbkk/VfymX2yYZkI/AAAAAAAAAMo/Rb9Pmn3f1cY/s640/ShawkatGreenRoom.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Like her role in <i>Life After Beth</i> (2014), Shawkat brings her background in comedy to the horror genre in <span style="font-weight: normal;">director <a href="http://tiffmidnightmadness.blogspot.ca/2015/09/the-final-girls-interview-with-director.html" target="_blank">Todd Strauss-Schulson</a></span><a href="http://tiffmidnightmadness.blogspot.ca/2015/09/the-final-girls-interview-with-director.html" target="_blank">'s</a><i> The Final Girls</i> as Gertie, the friend of Max (Taissa Farmiga). Along with their friend, Vicki (Nina Dobrev), the girls find themselves magically transported to the slasher film they are watching starring Max’s mom, 1980’s fictional scream queen, Amanda Cartwright (Malin Ackerman). Again, Shawkat’s character will have to fight her way out of the terror!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2sLw2Q8U8vE/VfymYlllhYI/AAAAAAAAAMw/jygxzzPOeXo/s1600/ShawkatFinalGirls.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2sLw2Q8U8vE/VfymYlllhYI/AAAAAAAAAMw/jygxzzPOeXo/s640/ShawkatFinalGirls.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
With several more films out this year and next, keep an eye on Alia Shawkat—if she can take on the 2015 Midnight Madness programme from beginning to end, we know she’s going to wow us in many things to come!<br />

It has been a long time since the master of Midnight Madness has been in Toronto. Last night with the premiere of <a href="http://tiff.net/festivals/festival15/midnightmadness/yakuza-apocalypse"><i>Yakuza Apocalypse </i></a>the long wait was over and Takashi Miike took the stage of the Ryerson theater to a standing ovation. Robert A. Mitchell was on the red carpet and spoke with Mr. Miike about his latest film, the yakuza and filmmaking.<br />

<br />
It's been a long but amazing week for all of us film crazed night owls at Midnight Madness. Now it's time to wrap it all up with one of the most anticipated genre films of the year. <a href="http://www.tiff.net/festivals/festival15/midnightmadness/the-final-girls" target="_blank"><i>The Final Girls</i></a> had its world premiere at SXSW earlier this year, and if the audience's reaction was any indication, it's poised to become a new classic.<br />

<br />
So come on out tonight and try not to think about the fact that Midnight Madness is over for another year.

<br />Tonight Yayan Ruhian teams up with director Takashi Miike in <i>Yakuza Apocalypse</i>. He might also team up with a frog, a vampire hunter and a vampire gangster. And last night, we saw Tony Jaa and Wu Jing team up together for justice and against terminal illness. So it seems like an excellent time to look at some Martial Arts Team Ups of Asskickery!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=2892" target="_blank">David Chiang</a> and <a href="http://hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=3630" target="_blank">Ti Lung</a> are the quintessential martial arts team-up. <a href="http://www.hkcinemagic.com/en/page.asp?aid=116" target="_blank">They started working together on <i>The Young Juvenile / Dead End</i> (1969)</a> and worked on countless films together between then and the release of Chang Cheh's <i>Blood Brothers</i> in 1973. It's not actually countless, but since Ti Lung has currently been in 118 films and Chiang has been in 138 and is still going strong, I'm just leaving it at that. In fact, there are so many movies, I'm just going to pass along this tribute video. <br />

<br />
After working Chiang and Ti Lung, director <a href="http://www.hkcinemagic.com/en/people.asp?id=15" target="_blank">Chang Cheh</a> gathered a new stable of actors including, Sun Chien, Philip Kwok Chun-Fung, Lo Meng, Lu Feng, Chiang Sheng and Johnny Wang Lung-Wei in 1978's <i>The Five Deadly Venoms</i>. Here the chief of the Poison Clan (Dick Wei) explains to Yang Tieh (Chiang Sheng) the nature of his mission--and just happens to introduce the Five Deadly Venoms themselves. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/kX6EHqcvqyo/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kX6EHqcvqyo?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
Various combinations of these actors appeared together in Chang's subsequent films, including <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxtnXrgrg7Y" target="_blank"><i>Crippled Avengers</i> / <i>The Return of the Five Deadly Venoms</i></a> (1978); <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwHUlUaLTb8" target="_blank"><i>Ten Tigers of Kwantung</i></a> (1979); <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIdxRIgHzTE" target="_blank"><i>Shaolin Rescuers</i> </a>(1979) and <i>The Kid With The Golden Arm</i> (1979).<br />

<br />
<br />
One of the many pleasures of Hong Kong cinema is playing, "Recognize the Deadly Venom" in this film. For instance, Lo Meng and Philip Kwok appear in John Woo's <i>Hard Boiled </i>(1992), which features a pretty sweet team-up between Chow Yun-Fat and Tony Leung Chiu-Wai. Please note how Philip Kwok dismounts his motorcycle here...<br />
<br />

<br />
But to get back to kung fu team-ups, Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao have appeared in a bunch of movies together (and in various combinations), including<i> <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa2p7GJXTyQ" target="_blank">Project A</a></i> (1984), <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzkSuly_IcE" target="_blank"><i>Wheels On Meals</i></a> (1984), and <i>Dragons Forever</i> (1988). Here they fight Benny "The Jet" Urquidez in <i>Dragons Forever</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe width="320" height="266" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/0XLXKJMj3aw/0.jpg" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0XLXKJMj3aw?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>
<br />
Lot fewer offices and factories feature glass furniture after this kind of things. <br />
<br />
Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung also teamed up with Lam Ching-Ying (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TOOAlZ8nlc" target="_blank"><i>Mr. Vampire</i></a>) in one of my favorite movies, <i>The Prodigal Son</i> (1981).<br />

<iframe width="320" height="266" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/cmlydkTGtOw/0.jpg" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cmlydkTGtOw?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
Sammo Hung did a lot of work with the great Angela Mao Ying, and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6vX8myJ6FY" target="_blank">even presented her with a Lifetime Achievement Award at NYAFF</a>. When Taekwondo strikes, it's Angela Mao Ying kicking Sammo Hung's ass.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
And Sammo even teamed up with Donnie Yen in my favorite fight in <i>SPL</i> (2005). (With Simon Yam Tat-Wah in peril!)<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
When <i>The Raid</i> premiered at Midnight Madness in 2011, Maniacs went wild at the amazing, brutal set-pieces. Yayan Ruhian is returning to the Madness tonight with Takashi Miike's <i>Yakuza Apocalypse</i>. Before he was cast as Eric in Gareth Evans' <i>Merantau</i> (2009), fight choreographer and actor Yayan Ruhian was a pencak silat teacher and even taught police martial arts techniques. Actually, that makes it sound like Yayan is no longer an instructor, but he still teaches silat. <a href="http://www.webcitation.org/6SX4FHOYe" target="_blank">He told <i>The Jakarta Post</i> how he became involved in silat</a>.<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
“There was a new school [of pencak silat] that was experiencing quite a
boom and I tried to enroll there … now it is called PTSD [Pencak Silat
Tenaga Dasar] Indonesia. I finally became assistant coach and then I was
summoned to Jakarta to become a professional trainer,” he said. <br />
<br />
Unfortunately,
he was unaware that his training to be a jury referee (wasit juri) in
Jakarta would prevent him from participating in future tournaments. He
was only told of the prohibition later when he tried to register for a
tournament. <br />
<br />
“It’s all right. If I can’t be an athlete, I’ll create athletes,” Yayan said, smiling. </blockquote>
<br />
Yayan participated in a documentary fellow Midnight Madness Alumnus Gareth Evans was making about silat. And the next thing you know, we have<i> Merantau</i> and this excellent elevator fight.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/UDIlDOnDNeY/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UDIlDOnDNeY?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
Here he's working on fight choreography with Iko Uwais for <i>The Raid / The Raid: Redemption</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/49U4Dy_erQM/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/49U4Dy_erQM?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
And the choreography comes to fruition in this fight with Joe Taslim in <i>The Raid / The Raid: Redemption</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/53DR4OdL7kw/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/53DR4OdL7kw?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>

<br />
<br />
And finally, never forget Mad Dog's"fluorescent tube" fight in <i>The Raid</i>.<br />

When you hear the name <b>Zombi</b>, what does it bring to mind? Does it make you think of the alternate title of George A. Romero's 1978 film <i>Dawn of the Dead</i>? Or Lucio Fulci's 1979 film <i>Zombie</i>, a.k.a. <i>Zombi 2</i>? Or do you think about the guy in the above photo?<br />
<br />
Steven R. Moore is one half of instrumental duo Zombi, along with Anthony Paterra (a.k.a. Maserati). Together they've been making retro-inspired yet utterly modern (and frequently futuristic) music since first part of the current millennium. Their music is influenced by (what else?) the soundtracks of films by Romero, Fulci, and horror maestro John Carpenter... meaning the soundtrack work of bands like Goblin and Fabio Frizzi, as well as Carpenter's own film scores. He's also provided the score to <a href="http://www.tiff.net/festivals/festival15/midnightmadness/the-minds-eye" target="_blank"><i>The Mind's Eye</i></a>.<br />
<br />
Moore is nothing if not prolific and like the movies mentioned above, he also goes by the alias Gianni Rossi (pretty inspired, if you ask us), and is a member of the bands Lovelock and Titan.<br />
